There is disclosed an improved stabilizing tool for drilling having a plurality of rotatable grinding rollers disposed in pockets about the surface of the tool for frictional contact with the walls of a bore hole being drilled, the tool comprising a fluid passageway formed axially therethrough, the passageway having a first zone wherein the pressure of the fluid is relatively high and a second zone wherein the pressure is relatively low, and passages placing the passageway in fluid communication with the interior of each of the rollers, the passages including a first conduit providing fluid communication between the zone of relatively high pressure and the interior of the rollers for the ingress of fluid to the interiors, and a second conduit providing fluid communication between the interiors of the rollers and the zone of relatively low pressure for the egress of the fluid back to the passageway.

Présentation d'un outil de stabilisation du forage amélioré possédant une série de molettes de broyage rotatives placées dans des poches à la surface de l'outil pour être en contact par frottement avec les parois d'un trou en cours de forage; l'outil comprend un passage pour le fluide pratiqué axialement à travers lui; ce passage comporte une première zone dans laquelle la pression du fluide est relativement élevée et une deuxième zone dans laquelle la pression est relativement basse, et des conduits mettent en communication le passage avec chaque rouleau, les conduits comprennent un premier canal faisant communiquer le fluide de la zone où la pression est relativement élevée et l'intérieur des molettes pour l'entrée du fluide à l'intérieur, et un deuxième canal faisant communiquer l'intérieur des molettes et la zone où la pression est relativement basse pour la sortie du fluide qui retourne vers le passage.
