An apparatus is disclosed for subdividing an elongated product moving axially along a pass line. The apparatus comprises at least one pair of rotatably driven slitting discs arranged in a coplanar relationship on opposite sides of the pass line, with their rotational axes being offset one from the other in the direction of product movement.

Appareil permettant de subdiviser un produit allongé se déplaçant sur le plan axial le long d'un câble de montage. L'appareil comprend au moins une paire de disques de coupe rotatifs montés dans un rapport coplanaire de chaque côté du câble de montage, leur axe de rotation étant décalé l'un par rapport à l'autre dans la direction du mouvement du produit.
