ROLLING MILLS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rolling mill includes pairs of work rolls, intermediate rolls and back-up rolls in vertical disposition. The intermediate rolls are adjustably movable in their axial direction in accordance with variation in rolling conditions. The upper intermediate roll can be lifted up by a balancing cylinder mounted in a project block to facilitate replacement of the work and intermediate rolls. The project block is made of a main project block and a separate subsidiary pro- ject block.
