The invention relates to a rolling stand comprising back-up and working rolls for rolling plates and strips in which the upper and lower working rolls together with their corresponding back-up rolls can be displaced by pair-wise inverse horizontal displacement of the chocks holding each roll in the column windows from their common vertical plane into positions in which the vertical planes extending through the rolling axes of the working and back-up rolls cross over. The roll chocks (21) of each pair of rolls (2a, 3a and 2b, 3b) formed by the upper and lower back-up and working rolls are housed in one of two cartridges (4a, 4b) which extend horizontally into the column windows (6) located on either side of the rolling stand (1) and guided therein such that they can be vertically and/or horizontally crossed. The cartridges (4a, 4b) can be pivoted in opposite directions about a common, central vertical axis (S) which is embodied by upper and lower centering spigot bearings (10, 11) provided for at the cross girder and the cartridge (4a, 4b). In the area of the column windows (6) each cartridge (4a, 4b) is vertically supported on the rolling stand frame (1) via sway braces (8) mounted on cardan joints (at 9) at both ends.
L'invention concerne une cage de laminoir comprenant des cylindres d'appui et/ou de travail permettant de laminer des tôles et des bandes. Les cylindres de travail supérieurs et inférieurs ainsi que les cylindres d'appui qui leur sont associés, peuvent par déplacement horizontal opposé par paires des empoises supportant chaque cylindre dans les fenêtres de montants, être amenés du plan vertical commun à des positions dans lesquelles les plans verticaux passant par les axes des cylindres de travail et d'appui se croisent. Chaque paire de cylindres (2a, 3a ou 2b, 3b), constituée de cylindres d'appui et de travail supérieurs ou inférieurs, et ses empoises de laminoir (21) sont logés dans une des deux cassettes (4a, 4b) qui s'étendent horizontalement dans les fenêtres de montants (56), placées des deux côtés du montant de laminoir (1), et y sont guidés en étant réglables verticalement et/ou horizontalement. Les cassettes (4a, 4b) tournent dans des sens opposés autour d'un axe vertical central commun (S) qui est constitué de logements de tourillons de centrage (10, 11) supérieurs et inférieurs disposés sur la poutre transversale des montants et sur la cassette (4a ou 4b) et chaque cassette (4a, 4b) s'appuie verticalement sur le cadre de cage de laminoir (1) par des montants pendulaires (8) fixés à leurs extrémités par des cardans (au niveau de 9).
