-13- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roof anchor having a projecting ring member to which may be attached a snap hook or other safety device for protecting workers on the roof of a building from falling off of the building. The preferred embodiment of the device is permanently attached to a rafter of the roof structure, leavingthe ring member projecting from the roof after the roofing installation is complete. The roof anchors may be positioned on the peak of the roof or may be positioned elsewhere, depending on where they are needed.
