A method for mounting a roof anchor (10) on a roof support structure (30) having an underside surface (32), the roof fully or partially covered with roof covering material (39), the roof anchor (10) including an attachment means (12) and a shaft (14), the method including the steps of: a) making a first hole (50) in the covering material (39) and the roof support structure (30), which first hole (50) is capable of receiving the shaft (14); b) forming an aperture (38) in the covering material (39) adjacent the first hole (50) and the roof support structure (30); c) inserting an anchor block (20), having a second hole (22) capable of fixedly engaging the shaft (14), through the aperture (38) and locating the anchor block (20) at the underside surface (32) such that the first and second holes (50, 22) are in registry; and d) inserting the shaft (14) through both the first and second holes (50, 22) whereby to fixedly engage the roof anchor (10) to the anchor block (20), such that the roof anchor (10) is mounted on the roof support structure (30).
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fixer une pièce d'ancrage pour toit (10) sur une structure de soutien d'un toit (30) possédant une surface inférieure (32), le toit étant entièrement ou en partie recouvert d'un matériau (39) de revêtement de toit, la pièce d'ancrage pour toit (10) comprenant un moyen de fixation (12) et une tige (14). Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant : a) à faire un premier trou (50) dans le matériau de revêtement (39) et la structure de soutien du toit (30), lequel premier trou (50) peut recevoir la tige (14), b) à former une ouverture (38) dans le matériau de revêtement (39) et dans la structure de soutien du toit (30) adjacent au premier trou (50), c) à insérer un bloc d'ancrage (20), possédant un second trou (22) pouvant de manière fixe se mettre en prise avec la tige (14) à travers l'ouverture (38) et à placer le bloc d'ancrage (20) au niveau de la surface inférieure (32) de manière que les premier et second trous (50, 22) soient en repère, et d) à insérer la tige (14) à travers les premier et second trous (50, 22), de manière à mettre en prise de façon fixe la pièce d'ancrage pour toit (10) et le bloc d'ancrage (20), de manière que la pièce d'ancrage pour toit (10) soit fixée sur la structure de soutien de toit (30).
