A roof drain cover characterized by an open-end cage adapted to sit over the top of a roof drain. The cage has a top face and a peripheral wall. The top face and the peripheral wall are provided with apertures for allowing water circulation therethrough. A pair of leg members which are suspended from the top wall, have 3 portion extending below the cage for penetrating into the drain. A pair of bolts are slidingly mounted through the peripheral wall and are coaxially mounted in opposite direction, each of said bolts being threadedly engaged with a corresponding leg member for pulling apart the leg members in the direction of the peripheral wall. When the cage is mounted over the drain, the portions extending below the cage are accordingly adapted to abut against the inner surface of the drain for frictionally retaining the cage to the drain.

Chapeau d'avaloir de toit caractérisé par une cage à extrémité ouverte adaptée pour être montée au sommet d'un avaloir de toit. La cage comporte une face de dessus et une paroi circulaire. La face de dessus et la paroi circulaire sont munies d'orifices destinés à laisser passer l'eau. Une paire d'éléments formant pattes suspendues de la paroi de dessus comportent trois parties se prolongeant au-dessous de la cage afin de pénétrer dans l'avaloir. Une paire de boulons sont montés de manière coulissante à travers la paroi circulaire et sont montés dans un plan coaxial en directions opposées; chacun desdits boulons est vissé dans une patte correspondante, ce qui a pour effet de séparer les deux pattes et de les pousser vers la paroi circulaire. Lorsque la cage est montée par dessus l'avaloir, les parties qui se prolongent au-dessous de la cage sont adaptées pour abouter la surface intérieure de l'avaloir de sorte que la cage est retenue par friction à l'avaloir.
