A roof, fascia protection system for use on a building roof for protecting the roof and fascia from water damage due to ice damming and supply protection against animal infestation on the lower part of the roof and fascia. The system is a single piece of aluminum or steel formed to the contour of the roof and fascia. It includes a planar body which is positioned under the roofing shingles. An open throat portion, which is substantially U-shaped and can fit over any protrusion at the roof and fascia point of joining. A downwardly leg portion extending to the bottom of the fascia and a lip to cover the narrow portion of the fascia. The system can be used on any pitch roof and provides a drip edge to direct water to the gutter. The system prevents water from getting between the roof and fascia and will protect the roof in the event of ice damming.
