A top portion (12) of the gutter section (10) is formed with a pair of longitudinally extending, relatively spaced apart ridges (20) and with a plurality of openings (22) disposed on, infront of , in between and behind the ridges (20) for draining rianwater into the gutter (10). A front wall (13) extends downwardly from the top portion (12) and a ledge (14) extends generally horizontally form a lower portion 13B of the front wall (13). The distance D between an upper edge (17) of the front wall (13) and the horizontal ledge (14) is relatively short to improve the versatility and appearance of the cover section 10. The aluminum alloy from which the cover section (10) is formed is relatively thin and the openings (22) in the on the cover section top portion (12) are large enough to facilitate drainage, yet small enough to keep debris from accumulating on the cover section (10).
L'invention concerne la partie supérieure (12) d'un tronçon (10) de gouttière, ladite partie supérieure étant formée de façon à comporter une paire de rebords (20) espacés l'un par rapport à l'autre et s'étendant longitudinalement, et une pluralité d'ouvertures (22) disposées sur, devant, entre et derrière les rebords (20) pour drainer l'eau de pluie dans la gouttière (10). Une paroi avant (13) s'étend vers le bas à partir de la partie supérieure (12) et une corniche (14) s'étend généralement horizontalement d'une partie inférieure 13B de la paroi avant (13). La distance D entre un bord supérieur (17) de la paroi avant (13) et la corniche horizontale (14) est relativement courte pour améliorer la polyvalence et l'aspect du tronçon (10) de couverture. L'alliage d'aluminium dont est constitué le tronçon (10) de couverture est relativement mince et les ouvertures (22) dans la partie supérieure (12) du tronçon de couverture sont assez grandes pour faciliter le drainage, mais assez petites pour empêcher les débris de s'accumuler sur le tronçon (10) de couverture.
