- 10 - ROPE GRIP DEVICE ABSTRACT Many knots and splices are in common use to secure a rope around any object or through a ring. The present device eliminates the requirement of a knot and includes a first rope engaging loop and a second rope engaging loop with a pair of legs extending therebetween and the loops extending perpendicularly upwardly from the legs. The dead end of the rope is passed through the first and second loops and then around the member or object to which the rope is to be attached and then back between the legs and the standing part of the rope extending between the loops.
