Disclosed is a termination device for an aramid-based ele-vator rope (60) having a high breaking strength. The termination device comprises a socket (90) having a cylindrical, tapered internal passageway adapted to receive a corresponding wedge (100). The wedge includes a semi-cylindrical passageway (103) in a substantially helical configuration to increase the surface area between the associated rope and the wedge. The termination device clamps the length of rope between tapered portions of the socket and the semi- cylindrical passageway of the wedge with a substantially uniform application of force on the cross-section of the rope.
La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif de terminaison pour une corde dascenseur à base daramide (60) présentant une résistance à la rupture élevée. Le dispositif de terminaison comprend une douille (90) comportant un passage interne fileté et cylindrique conçu pour recevoir une cale correspondante (100). La cale comprend un passage semi-cylindrique (103) dans une configuration sensiblement hélicoïdale afin daugmenter la superficie entre la corde associée et la cale. Le dispositif de terminaison serre la longueur de corde entre les parties filetées de la douille et le passage semi-cylindrique de la cale par lapplication sensiblement uniforme dune force sur la section transversale de la corde.
