The present invention relates to rosinate esters of N-hydroxyphenyl maleamic acid which are useful as a total or partial replacement for extender or processing oil in rubber formulations. Addition of these rosinate esters improve the modulus and tear of the vulcanizate. The rosinate esters of N-hydroxyphenyl maleamic acid are of the formula: (see fig. I) or (see fig. II)

Dans la présente invention, on décrit des esters de colophane de l'acide N-hydroxyphénylmaléamique, qui sont utiles comme produits de remplacement total ou partiel des diluants ou des huiles de traitement dans les préparations de caoutchouc. L'addition de ces esters de colophane permet d'améliorer le module d'élasticité et la résistance au déchirement du vulcanisat. Les esters de colophane de l'acide N-hydroxyphénylmaléamique possèdent la formule : (voir fig. I) ou (voir fig. II).
