The present invention is related to rosuvastatin zinc salt of the Formula (I), process for preparation thereof and medicinal products containing said salt. Rosuvastatin zinc salt according to the present invention is prepared by reacting rosuvastatin with a zinc alcoholate, zinc enolate or an inorganic or organic zinc salt and isolating the thus obtained rosuvastatin zinc salt (2:1).

L'invention concerne du sel de zinc de rosuvastatine de Formule (I), son procédé de préparation et des produits médicinaux renfermant ledit sel. Le procédé de préparation dudit sel de zinc de rosuvastatine selon l'invention consiste à mettre en réaction la rosuvastatine avec un alcoolat de zinc, un énolate de zinc et un sel de zinc inorganique ou organique et à isoler ledit sel de zinc de rosuvastatine ainsi obtenu (2:1).
