A rotary bag machine and method for making bags from a film are disclosed. They include a rotary drum, an accumulation nip, a blanket that positions the film against the drum, and a blanket tensioner located away from the accumulation nip. The drum includes at least one seal bar mounted thereon, and the accumulation nip provides the film to the drum. Various aspects include the accumulation nip being in a fixed position independent of changes of the drum diameter, and/or the path from the accumulation nip to the drum being fixed in length, independent of changes of the drum diameter. An accumulation sensor and a controller that controls the accumulation nip speed and the drum speed in response to the sensor are provided in one embodiment. The speed control is in response to the speed of the film, the rate of change of a function of the input, response history, and/or a setpoint, in various alternatives. A drawtape module and a powered unwind are disposed in a single module with the rotary drum, in another embodiment. A registration mark sensor is located upstream of the accumulation nip, along a path having a fixed length to the drum, in another embodiment. The sensor may be a print sensor.
L'invention concerne une machine à sacs rotative et un procédé de fabrication de sacs à partir d'un film. Cette machine comprend un tambour rotatif, un espacement d'accumulation, un blanchet permettant de disposer le film contre le tambour, ainsi qu'un tendeur de blanchet situé à distance de l'espacement d'accumulation. Le tambour comprend au moins une barre de scellage montée sur celui-ci et l'espacement d'accumulation permet d'acheminer le film vers le tambour. Selon divers aspects, l'espacement d'accumulation est fixe indépendamment des changements du diamètre du tambour, et/ou le trajet entre l'espacement d'accumulation et le tambour présente une longueur fixe indépendamment des changements du diamètre du tambour. Dans un mode de réalisation, on utilise un détecteur d'accumulation et un dispositif de régulation qui régule la vitesse de l'espacement d'accumulation et la vitesse du tambour en réponse au détecteur. Selon les variantes, la régulation de vitesse est réalisée en réponse à la vitesse du film, à la vitesse de changement d'une fonction de l'entrée, à un historique de réponse et/ou à un point de consigne. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un module à bandes de serrage et un dérouleur motorisé sont disposés dans un module unique avec le tambour rotatif. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un détecteur de repère d'alignement est situé en amont de l'espacement d'accumulation le long d'un trajet présentant une longueur fixe jusqu'au tambour. Ce détecteur peut être un détecteur d'impression.
