A rotary car washing cell (10) includes a platform (14) for supporting an automotive vehicle (12) and rotatably coupled to a base (22) for rotating the vehicle (12) about a fixed axis. The platform includes a guide rail (68) disposed along a predetermined path on the platform (14). A support frame (40) is fixedly secured to the base (22). A wash arm assembly (50) for spraying fluid onto the vehicle (22) is slidably supported by the support frame (40) for radial movement with respect to the fixed axis. The wash arm assembly (50) including a cam follower (70) for engaging the guide rail (68) during rotation of the platform (14), whereby the wash arm assembly (50) is radially displaced with respect to the fixed axis in response to the rotation of the platform (14) about the fixed axis.
L'invention concerne un poste de lavage rotatif pour automobiles qui comprend une plate-forme permettant de porter un véhicule automobile raccordée rotative à une base permettant de faire tourner le véhicule autour d'un axe fixe. Cette plate-forme comprend un rail de guidage disposé le long d'un chemin prédéterminé sur ladite plate-forme. Une structure de support est montée fixe sur la base. Un ensemble bras gicleur permettant de vaporiser un liquide sur le véhicule est porté coulissant par la structure de support en vue d'effectuer un mouvement radial par rapport à l'axe fixe. Cet ensemble bras gicleur comprend un galet de came permettant d'entrer en contact avec le rail de guidage pendant la rotation de la plate-forme, ledit ensemble bras gicleur étant déplacé radialement par rapport à l'axe fixe en réponse à la rotation de la plate-forme autour de l'axe fixe.
