Abstract of the Disclosure A rotary internal combustion engine which includes a rotor provided with lined cavities about the periphery thereof forming combustion chambers. The rotor is adapted to rotate within a rotor chamber formed by a cylindrical wall interrupted by a crescent-shaped compression chamber. Sweepers are provided on the rotor for sweeping the compression chamber.
