ROTARY ENGINE INTERMEDIATE HOUSING BEARING SUPPORT ASSEMBLY Abstract of the Disclosure A multi-unit rotary engine includes a crankshaft received by a bearing which is itself received by a split bearing support. The bearing support has a central hub portion with a frustoconical outer surface which mainly engages a frustoconical inner surface of an intermediate housing. The bearing support and intermediate housing are retained together by a plurality of arc-shaped brackets which have separate faces which engage separate respective sides of the housing and bearing support. The bearing support faces are separated by a recess which prevents damage to an edge of the intermediate housing as these parts are assembled.
