ABSTRACT The shaft end of a rotary joint is mounted in a joint chamber on a mandrel arranged coaxially with joint housing by means of a self-aligning bearing. The joint chamber is sealed by a cover provided with a concave spherical cup surface directed inwards the joint chamber and fastened rigidly to the front face of joint housing. The cover is engaged by a slideable and deflectable sealing ring which contacts through its convex spherical surface the concave counterpart of cover 6. The sealing ring is pressed against cover by a set of springs and holding-down pins. The shaft is provided with a hole in which is located a resilient thrust device.
