A weigh feeding apparatus (10) has a plurality of compartments (102) to hold a material that is fed into the compartments and a scale (20) for weighing the material held in the compartments. The compartments (102) are configured to revolve about an axis (122) at a substantially constant rate and the scale is configured to produce a signal (300) determined by the weight of the material held in the compartments. The signal is capable of being used to control the rate (340) at which material is fed into the compartments.
