ROTARY STEAM EXPANSION ENGINE ABSTRACT A rotary steam expansion engine having a spherical rotor formed by a disc-shaped diaphragm pivotally connec- ted to a pair of mutually perpendicular vanes extending on either side of the diaphragm and defining therewith in the casing varying-capacity working chambers. A pair of volumetric metering devices are provided for a metered fluid supply, each having an outlet communicating with a fluid supply line and an outlet communicating with a respective compartment of a rotary machine in a zone where the working chambers have the minimum capacity.
