A system for rotating and guiding a drill bit (13) in an underground bore includes a drilling motor (25) and a drive shaft (31) . The system further includes a guidance module having an actuating arm (112) movable between an extended position wherein the actuating arm can contact a surface of the bore and thereby exert a force on the housing of the guidance module, and a retracted position. Furthermore the guidance module may comprise a hydraulic system with a pump (114) and a valve (120) . Also a second motor can be used.
