ABSTRACT A segmented wheel rotary feeder for granular bulk materials which avoids damage to the grains over a wide range of rotation speeds has in its feed inlet a triangular cross-bar which merges in the direction of rotation with double arrow form stripping edges. Below the cross-bar, each chamber in the segmented wheel has a pair of axially positioned chamber dividing walls under the cross-bar and spaced apart by the width of the bar. Openings at the outer circumference of these walls connect the central spaces defined therebetween with the respective adjacent lateral chamber portion. Grains moved along the stripping edges can enter through these openings into the respective adjacent central space between the dividing walls.
