ABSTRACT A shelf assembly is provided for storing documents such as compact disks, cassette tapes and other recorded data. The shelf assembly includes four shelves extending radially from a central, horizontal axis. A retainer plate is pivotally-connected along the longitudinal edge of each shelf. As the shelf assembly is rotated about the central, horizontal axis, the retainer plate prevents the documents from falling off the shelf.
