In a large rotating electrical machine having a rotor (1) comprising bar conductors (3) of copper located in slots (5) in a rotor core (7) and connected together at their ends to form a winding, the bar conductors are electrically insulated from the rotor core by a coating on the conductors of a ceramic based material. The coating serves to prevent sparking occurring between the conductors bars and the rotor core.

Dans une machine électrique rotative de grande dimension possédant un rotor (1) comprenant des barres conductrices (3) en cuivre situées dans des fentes (5) d'un noyau d'induit (7) et accouplées à leurs extrémités, de façon à constituer un enroulement, lesdites barres sont isolées électriquement du noyau d'induit au moyen d'un revêtement en matériau à base de céramique. Celui-ci sert à empêcher la formation d'étincelles entre les barres conductrices et le noyau d'induit.
