The control of the intake and outlet ports in the cylinder wall is influenced by the piston rotation. Thus, port control is realisable for all applications of piston machines: 2-stroke, 4-stroke - engines, pumps, compressors, etc. The clearance volume of the piston machine according to the invention is nevertheless as small as required. According to a version, the inner wall of the piston serves as a cylinder for additional inner working chambers .
