ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement in a rotational member of a centrifuge. The rotational member has a top, an open bottom, and a circumferential frame which extends between the top and the bottom. A screen is mounted on the circumferential frame. A deflector is centrally positioned adjacent the top of the rotational member such that liquids flowing into the hollow central cavity of the rotational member are deflected by the deflector toward the screen. Solids are retained within the hollow central cavity by the screen and liquids pass through the screen striking sidewalls of a containment housing and flowing down the side walls to a liquids outlet. The solids pass by force of gravity along the screen to the open bottom of the rotational member which serves as a solids outlet.
