A rotisserie cooking apparatus (20) is provided that includes a housing (22) defining a cavity (29). A heating element (32) apparatus is positioned within the housing (22) for heating food articles. A detachable cooking rack (24) is configured for support of the food articles and has at least a portion thereof being movably disposed within the cavity (29) such that the food articles are movable relative to the heating element (32) apparatus. The housing may include a grease tray (38) configured for collection of a portion of the food articles. The grease tray (38) may be configured for boiling a substance such that the substance cooks at least a portion of the food articles. The cooking apparatus may include a control unit (42, 44) operatively coupled to the heating element apparatus for controlling operation thereof. The control unit (42, 44) includes a display mounted to an outer surface of the housing. The detachable cooking rack (24) can be supported by the housing for rotational movement such that at least a portion of the detachable cooking rack (24) rotates through the cavity (29). The detachable cooking (24) rack may include a handle (60) for manipulation thereof. Alternatively, the detachable cooking (24) rack includes at least one detachable segment (450) configured for support of food articles. The rotisserie cooking apparatus may include a motor (70) assembly that is operatively associated with the detachable cooking rack to facilitate movement thereof. A heat shield (76) may be attachable to an outer surface of the housing. The heat shield (76) is configured to enclose at least a portion of the detachable cooking rack.

Un protecteur thermique (76) peut être fixé sur une surface extérieure du logement. Ce protecteur thermique (76) est conçu pour entourer au moins une partie de la grille de cuisson amovible.
