A rotodynamic fluid machine comprising a motor arranged for directly driving a shaft, a pressurised motor housing having end walls through which the shaft passes via dry gas seals to enclose the motor, means for maintaining the pressure within the motor housing which pressure is different from the pressure outside the motor housing, a first impeller directly connected to one end of the motor driven shaft, arranged to move process fluid from an inlet to an outlet in a first direction relative to the shaft axis, a second impeller directly connected to the opposite end of the shaft, arranged to move process fluid from a second inlet to a second outlet m an opposite direction to the first direction relative to the shaft axis such that suction is created at both ends of the shaft, and a process fluid conduit connecting the first outlet to the second inlet.
Machine à fluide rotodynamique comprenant un moteur électrique pour entraîner un arbre en prise directe, un carter de moteur à surpression interne ayant des parois terminales à travers lesquelles passe l'arbre par des joints secs étanches aux gaz pour encloisonner le moteur, des moyens de maintien de la pression à l'intérieur du carter de moteur, ladite pression étant différente de la pression à l'extérieur du carter de moteur, un premier impulseur relié directement à une extrémité de l'arbre entraîné par le moteur, disposé pour déplacer le fluide du processus d'une entrée à une sortie dans une première direction par rapport à l'axe de l'arbre, un second impulseur relié directement à l'extrémité opposée de l'arbre, disposé pour déplacer le fluide du processus d'une seconde entrée à une seconde sortie dans une direction opposée à la première direction par rapport à l'axe de l'arbre, de sorte que l'on crée une aspiration aux deux extrémités de l'arbre, et un conduit de fluide du processus reliant la première sortie à la seconde entrée.
