ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rotor for an electromechanical device including a hub and an assembly of magnets positioned thereon. The resulting assembly generates magnetic fields in an annular zone around the exterior surface. A retainer sleeve formed ferro-magnetic material is tightly fitted over the hub and magnet assembly to complete the rotor.
