ABSTRACT A rotor construction in an asynchronous electric machine has an electrical conductor construction substantially adjacent to the stator associated with a rotor shaft. A coating layer of ferromagnetic particulate matter of electric conductivity lower than that of the conductor construction and substantially associated with the conductor construction is placed on the surface of the rotor shaft.
