A B S T R A C T Rotor for beater mill. Rotor for beater mill with central feed of air and material to be ground. The rotor has two end plates (1 and 2) of which one (1) is connected to the hub (3) of the rotor and the other (2) has a central feed aperture (4). The beaters (5) are sus- pended in sets on shafts (6) which extend between the end plates (1 and 2). Below such a beater set a groove forming body (7) is extending from the end plate (1) to the end plate (2) and surrounding the suspension end of the beaters (5). The body (7) constitutes a shielding of the suspension end of the beaters and acts together with the beaters (5) as fan blades. It may consist of a tube in which the supporting shafts(6) of the beaters (5) are positioned so that the beaters (5) from the shaft (6) protrude out through slots (10) positioned in the body (7). The supporting shaft (6) rests against the outward facing section of the tube wall, whereby the tube also constitutes a support for the beaters (5). Between the rotor hub (3) and a groove forming body (7) or the feed end plate (2) or both, stays (12,13) tilting in relation to the rotor axis are extending. The stays (12, 13) brace the construction and also act during operation as distributors by distributing the material across the total in- ternal operation width of the rotor.
