ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A round bale press for agricultural stalk material The invention relates to a round bale press for agricultural stalk material comprising a variable pressing chamber which is limited in a housing by at least one continuous belt which is guided and/or driven by cylindrical rollers, at least one stripping device associated to the roller which consists of a rail with supporting plates on both ends and supports a spring steel knife, each supporting plate being mounted in the adjacent housing wall pivotably about an axis of rotation and can be pivoted by means of a pivotal adjusting means and where the pressing pressure of the knife against the roller can be made uniform by convexly bending the support in the direction to the roller across the length of the knife. In known round bale presses the pressing pressure of the knife against the roller, which is necessary for a satisfactory stripping effect cannot be maintained reliably during operation. Therefore it is provided according to the invention that at least one clamping device actuable from outside the housing is provided for the arbitrary bending of the rail on the support, by means of which the central section of the rail can be bent towards the surface of the roller relative to the end sections so that not only a uniform pressing pressure of the knife is achieved, but the pressing pressure can also be made uniform during operation.
