Novel polypetides, designated RTD, which are capable of binding Apo-2 ligand are provided. RTD are receptors for the tumor necrosis factor (TNF), belonging to the family of trail - receptors. They are inhibitors of APO2L- induced apoptosis. They act as decoy receptors, lacking an intracellular signalling death domain. Compositions including RTD chimeras, nucleic acid encoding RTD, and antibodies to RTD are also provided.
L'invention porte sur de nouveaux polypeptides appelés RTD et capables de se lier à TRAIL ou ligand Apo-2. Les RTD sont des récepteurs du facteur de nécrose tumorale (TNF), appartenant à la famille des récepteurs de TRAIL. Ils sont des inhibiteurs de l'apoptose induite par APO2L, et agissent comme inhibiteurs leurres, n'ayant pas de domaine de signalisation de mort intracellulaire. L'invention porte également sur une composition comprenant les chimères RTD, RTD codant l'acide nucléique et des anticorps contre RTD.
