An additive for improving the ageing characteristics of rubber compositions is described. The additive comprises a liquid low-molecular weight ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM) terpolymer and a suitable curing agent such as amine antioxidant/antiozonants. A microcrystalline and a paraffin wax and a metal oxide may also be included.
