Rubber broom including a broom body and a bristle unit of elastic, polymeric material positioned at its underside and combined therewith into a single unit, whereby the broom body (1) is a shaped part produced independently from the bristle unit (2) and has an underside, which towards the edge is obliquely upwardly directed at least at one location (3). The bristle unit (2) includes a deformable carrier layer (4) which closely engages the underside at least along the circumferential edge. The bristle unit is manufactured in a planar configuration and subsequently curved by tightly mounting it to the broom body. This facilitates manufacture of the bristle unit. The rubber broom is more simply and safely manufactured.
