A rubber coat is applied to the metal surface and heated to a temperature of about 100°F. plurality of discrete ceramic bodies are positioned on the rubber surface. The ceramic bodies are then pressed into the rubber coat while maintaining the temperature at a range in which the rubber will not cure.
