ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rubber composition which is highly adherent to metallic materials by vulcanization comprises 0.5 -20 parts by weight of a metal salt of hydroxybenzoic acid per 100 parts by weight of a rubber. The adhesiveness of the composition to metallic materials is not much reduced by hot ageing.
