ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Rubber compositions for use in tread portions of pneumatic tires are formulated essentially with a selected class of styrene-butadiene rubbers and a selected class of carbon blacks. The rubber has two specific different temperatures of glass transition, whereas the carbon black has a specific iodine adsorption. The resultant composition shows -35°C or lower in brittleness temperature and 0.7 or greater at 0°C in loss tangent, contributing to stable driving in both hot and cold seasons.
