Abstract of the Disclosure A rubber composition for a tire tread comprises (a) 25 to 55 p-arts by weight of natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber, (b) 5 to 15 parts by weight of halogenated butyl rubber, and (c) 70 to 30 parts by weight of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber including 10 to 30 wt. % of bonded styrene units and 25 to 80% of 1,2 vinyl bonds in the butadiene units and having at a molecular terminal or in a chain thereof an atomic group introduced thereinto and represented by the following formula: Image (or SH)
