A process for preparing a bloom resistant vulcanizate which comprises l) mixing a sulfur curable rubber with from 0.5 to 12% by weight of said rubber of a curing agent prepared by heating a mixture of water, sulfur and olefin to 120-200C with agitation optionally in the presence of a basic catalyst and a dispersing agent; and then 2) vulcanizing the rubber curing agent mixture.
