Immunoglobulin G (IgG) transporting ruminant Fc receptor (FcRn) .alpha.-chain DNA molecules, especially those of cow, dromedary and sheep (SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:3) are disclosed. Protein expressed by said FcRn .alpha.- chain DNA molecules are disclosed and include SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:6. Vectors containing the ruminant IgG transporting FcRn .alpha.-chain DNA molecules, and hosts transformed with such vectors are also included. Further, a method of producing colostrums or milk with enhanced levels of immunoglobulins or proteins fused to immunoglobulin .gamma.-chains of FcRn interacting parts thereof is also disclosed.

L'invention concerne des molécules d'ADN à chaînes alpha du récepteur Fc (FcRn) transportant l'immunoglobuline G (IgG) chez le ruminant, notamment chez la vache, le dromadaire ou la chèvre (SEQ ID No. 1, SEQ ID No. 2, SEQ ID No. 3). Elle concerne également une protéine exprimée par lesdites molécules d'ADN à chaînes alpha du FcRn et comprenant les séquences SEQ ID No. 4, SEQ ID No. 5, SEQ ID No. 6. Elle concerne en outre des vecteurs contenant les molécules d'ADN à chaînes alpha du FcRn transportant l'IgG chez le ruminant, et des hôtes transformés avec ces vecteurs. Elle concerne enfin une méthode de production de colostrums ou de lait avec des niveaux accrus d'immunoglobuline ou de protéines fusionnées à des chaînes .gamma. d'immunoglobuline ou à des parties de l'immunoglobuline en interaction avec FcRn.
