Run-flat device for motor vehicles consisting of a rolling ring mounted tightly on a wheel rim and comprising a ring-shaped base mounted in a wheel rim well and a tread whose axial width is approximately equal to the distance between the tops of the bosses for holding the tire bead, and whose radial height in relation to the tops of the bosses is greater than 55% of the internal radial height of the tire. The invention essentially concerns run-flat devices for touring vehicles.
