The present invention provides a unitary run flat tire (RFT) reinforcement (16) using filament material that is formed into a relatively rigid shape. The reinforcement is insertable into a mold for an RFT support and can maintain the needed structural rigidity for such insertion. Further, the invention provides an RFT support that is molded and includes the RFT reinforcement. The invention also provides a wheel assembly including a tire, a rim, and an RFT support between the rim and the tire, where the support includes the RFT reinforcement. The RFT support can have a colored indicator formed or subsequently applied thereto to indicate one or more attributes of the support.
La présente invention concerne un renfort (16) de pneumatique de roulage à plat (run flat tire / RFT) unitaire, constitué de matière filamentaire qui est formée dans un moule relativement rigide. Le renfort peu être inséré dans un moule pour support de RFT et permet de préserver la rigidité structurelle requise pour une insertion de ce type. Cette invention concerne également un support de RFT qui est moulé et qui comprend le renfort de RFT. L'invention a également pour objet un ensemble de roue comprenant un pneumatique, une jante, et un support de RFT disposé entre la jante et le pneumatique, le support comprenant le renfort de RFT. Le support de RFT peut présenter un indicateur coloré moulé ou appliqué ultérieurement afin d'indiquer une ou plusieurs caractéristiques du support.
