The run-flat tire (10) has a tread (12) and a belt package with belt plies (81) interior to the tread (12). A plurality of radially reinforced carcass layers (40) are positioned interior to the belt plies (81 ) and include at least one carcass layer that extends between spaced apart annular beads (30). The tire (10) has a pair of sidewalls (41) each extending radially inward from shoulders (83) at lateral edges of the belt package to the annular beads (30). The sidewalls (41 ) have a plurality of sidewall stiffening members (50) to support the tire (10) during a loss of inflation pressure. The spaced apart beads (30) include bead cores (32) placed at a predetermined diameter with respect to a rim diameter, dual bead fillers (34, 37) above the bead cores (32), a heel corner (31c) spaced at a radial gap distance form a rim flange (84) and rim interface components having a seat interface distance below the bead core (32) for mounting the run-flat tire (10) on a conventional rim (80).
