Abstract of the Disclosure: A running gear for rail vehicles has a rigid running gear frame supported, via primary springs, on wheels or wheelsets. A coach body of the rail vehicle is supported on the bogie frame via secondary springs, either directly or through the intermediary of a bolster. The bolster (or the coach body) is connected to the running gear frame by means of shock absorbers, which dampen vertical and rolling motions. A roll-support is provided, which cushions rolling motions. The roll support has fixed levers connected by hinge-mounted pendulums to the bolster or to the coach body. At least one of the pendulum connectors is a control element which can be actuated in response to and counter to rolling motions of the coach body, i.e. when the sides of the coach body and/or the transverse ends of the bolster are lowered or raised.
