A refrigerator for RVs comprising an upright cabinet with an internal cold compartment and a door member mounted on the cabinet for closing said compartment, two pairs of upright hinge pins on the cabinet on opposite sides of the door enables the door to swing from both right and left sides of the cabinet. A single actuator is provided for putting the door from a left swing to a right swing and vice versa. In addition, the actuator can secure the door on the cabinet during RV travel. It can also enable easy removal of the door from the cabinet. Cams and cam followers are associated with the cabinet and the door to cause the door to be lifted when opened and lowered when closed to assure easy opening and closing of the door.

Réfrigérateur pour véhicule de plaisance comprenant un coffre vertical avec un compartiment froid intérieur et un élément porte monté sur le coffre pour fermer ledit compartiment, deux paires d'axes d'articulation verticaux sur le coffre de chaque côté de la porte, ce qui permet d'ouvrir la porte à droite comme à gauche du coffre. Un actionneur unique sert à changer le sens d'ouverture de la porte de gauche à droite et vice versa. De plus, l'actionneur permet d'assujettir la porte sur le coffre durant les déplacements du véhicule. Il peut aussi faciliter l'enlèvement de la porte du coffre. Des cames et des galets suiveurs sont associés au coffre et à la porte pour faire lever la porte quand elle s'ouvre et la faire descendre quand elle se ferme de manière à en faciliter l'ouverture et la fermeture.
