ABSTRACT On the subject of 'Heat Engines' it has long been accepted that the 4stroke "OTTO" cycle heat engine is very much less efficient than the "Carnot" maximum efficiency percentage equation for heat engines allows. I have built a "CARNOTTO" apparatus so named because it projects both Sadi Carnot's and Dr. Otto's ideas Using this apparatus to design a real working engine using conventional components found in our common current Heat Engines which invention I now refer to as "S-A-V-E " defined using my surname as the "SHORT-ASPIRATED-VORTEX-ENGINE". I am submitting a basic three cylinder version though any combination of sets of three cylinders are optional Basically my invention allows compounding of the heat energy, redirecting such heat energy through additional useful working paths to create increased overall efficiency with less emissions. The major extra heat energy path comprises a cylinder positioned between a left and a right 'PILOT" cylinder that alternatively discharge surplus heat energy onto the centre cylinder's piston 'crown' better described as a "SLAVE" in as much it obediently moves as the "MASTER" 'PILOT'cylinders input dictates. Now in addition to my claims for greater overall efficiency, this "SLAVE" cylinder invites further improvements, namely injection of powdered solids, liquids or gases not solely to produce additional power but also to chemically change the products of combustion into environmental friendly emissions.
