Disclosed are novel saccharide derivatives which inhibit binding of toxins, such as heat-labile enterotoxin or cholera toxin, to their receptors either in vitro or in vivo. Additionally, disclosed are compounds which inhibit binding of enterovirulent organisms (e.g., bacteria, virus, fungi, and the like), such as Vibrio cholerae and enterotoxigenic strains of Escherichia coli, to their cell surface receptors.
L'invention a trait à de nouveaux dérivés de saccharide inhibant la fixation de toxines, d'une entérotoxine thermolabile ou d'une toxine cholérique, notamment, à leurs récepteurs que ce soit in vitro ou in vivo. Cette invention concerne, de surcroît, des composés inhibant la fixation d'organismes entérovirulents (par exemple, des bactéries, des virus, des champignons et analogue), tels que le Vibrio cholerae et des souches entérotoxigènes d'Escherichia coli, notamment, à leurs récepteurs de surface cellulaire.
