ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a sacro-lumbar support belt which fits a broad range of patients and is also useful for pelvis traction. This is accomplished by fabricating the belt from a urethane foam-nylon pile laminate, allowing closure at numerous points. The belt then can be adjusted for increased support by using the adjustable plastic panels at the rear. The entire belt with nylon pile acts as a possible site for attachment of the ends of the panels. The foam lining of the inner surface of the belt inhibits migration of the belt especially during pelvic traction. Again, the outer nylon pile surface of the belt allows for attachment of straps for pelvic traction at many points, as well as closure of the belt and fastening of the panels.
