A saddle support (10), in particular for a bicycle, with an outer pipe casing (15) that can be positioned in an open pipe (13) of the bicycle frame (12), has a first piston- cylinder unit (20) for the resilient and a second piston-cylinder unit (40) for the height adjustment of a saddle (16), whereby the piston rod (22) of the first piston-cylinder unit (20) holding the saddle (16) on the upper end is conducted shiftably inside a sheath-shaped piston rod (19) of the second piston-cylinder unit (40) which can be moved in the pipe casing (15). These piston rods (19, 22) thus can be fixed to the pipe casing (15) each by means of a clamping device (30, 30'), and each is provided with a valve (26, 27) for adjusting the pressure of the medium in the chambers (24, 25) of both piston-cylinder units (40). This saddle support (10) makes a resilience and height adjustment of the saddle possible, which can be changed while riding.
